In this role, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of Strategic Account Management (SAM) training programs across assigned business areas, helping teams navigate complex healthcare markets and maximize account impact. You will collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and leadership teams to align training with organizational goals, ensuring consistent execution of strategic account management principles. The position involves both virtual and in-person training delivery, coaching, and curriculum management, supporting employees at all levels. You will provide insights and recommendations to enhance learning effectiveness, oversee vendor resources when necessary, and ensure compliance with medical, legal, and regulatory standards. Operating in a dynamic, cross-functional environment, this role enables you to influence organizational performance and drive measurable improvements in account strategy execution. The position requires occasional travel to deliver training and engage with stakeholders across the United States.
Accountabilities:- Lead the strategy, design, development, approval, and delivery of Strategic Account Management training programs aligned with organizational goals and business priorities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Value & Access, and leadership to ensure training initiatives support broader strategic objectives.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned client groups, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback to drive skill development and performance improvement.
- Oversee vendor engagement and manage budget allocation for external resources when required.
- Facilitate virtual and in-person classroom training, as well as one-on-one coaching, providing actionable feedback to leadership and participants.
- Manage and maintain training content across learning platforms, ensuring compliance with Medical, Legal, and Regulatory review processes.
- Evaluate training effectiveness, identify gaps, and recommend improvements to enhance learning outcomes and organizational impact.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree required; advanced training or instructional design credentials preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in the U.S. pharmaceutical industry, including 5+ years in sales or account management and 2+ years in training or related experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead without authority and influence cross-functional teams.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and coaching skills, with experience delivering training in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Familiarity with ADDIE/Instructional Design methodology, project management, and learning platform management.
- High energy, positive attitude, and output-driven, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Understanding of strategic account management, healthcare marketplace dynamics, and managed markets preferred.
- Willingness to travel 25%-75% for training delivery and stakeholder engagement.
