Account Manager (BMI Europe)

Remote Spain (some travel is essential)

3T Logistics is an award-winning, transport technology and management business, head-quartered in the UK. We have been perfecting a multi-carrier operating model since 2000, and our market differentiation has always been our in-house developed technology. Today, we provide SaaS TMS products and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) to shippers and carriers of any size.

BMI Groupis the largest manufacturer and distributor of flat and pitched roofing systems in Europe.

Job Purpose & Responsibilities

3T provide BMI with a technology led control tower solution that enables the movement of stock and direct to customer deliveries across their European footprint.

The Account Manager is responsible for ensuring the objectives of both the customer and 3T are met.

BMI Europe is a complex operation, and we are looking for a strong candidate to take on the challenge.

To be successful they must be flexible: one day they will be solving operational problems, the next they will be delving into data, the next speaking to IT and the next presenting a monthly review to the customer - all the while staying in control and managing the customer relationships as well as those of a wide range of other stakeholders.

  • Ensuring excellent customer service in line with contracted terms.
  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships with key customer personnel
  • Satisfying Customers' operational needs whilst managing their expectations
  • Delivery of agreed service levels/ KPI’s
  • Generating and communicating accurate operational reports, utilising the Analytics team if appropriate.
  • Organising and presenting selected internal and external account meetings.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for Client and internal Stakeholders
  • Ownership for 3T/ client requests, with the understanding of adding value and managing the change process to drive results, escalating to Senior Account Manager where required.
  • Raising ideas for cost reduction, process optimisation and continuous improvement.
  • Supporting cost saving initiatives and helping with completion from theory, through implementation to delivery and sign-off based on client and 3T needs.
  • Have detailed knowledge of 3T/ Client systems and SOP’s.
  • Monitoring stakeholder compliance to contract and SOP’s and intervene if needed.
  • Managing and maintaining account action plans both internally and externally to ensure items are concluded in an appropriate timeframe.

Qualifications/ Skills/ Competencies:

  • Preferably a graduate with 3 years of industry experience in a similar field and discipline
  • Experience of working within the field of European transportation / logistics
  • Commercially aware, astute, self-motivated and performance driven.
  • Possessing analytical skills, the ability to interpret data/information and to communicate effectively and with impact are pre-requisites for any candidate
  • Bi/Multi-lingual skills are a strong preference (Spanish and/or Italian)
  • Travel to client sites will be required at least one/pm and to UK office quarterly as a minimum.

  • Ability to work under own initiative and self-motivation.
  • Having the ability to work on multiple tasks at any given time, prioritising accordingly.
  • Being prepared to question the status quo in order reach optimum productivity within a process.
  • Possessing proven analytical skills, including the ability to apply a logical approach to develop, test and deliver solutions to problems.

Co Communication and relationships:

  • Able to build strong and lasting relationships/ partnerships in service critical client facing sites.
  • Ability to instil feeling of ease, integrity, and trust with the client at all levels.
  • Good presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills

Other:

  • IT Skills - especially in MS Office
  • A logical and excellent understanding of IT systems and process
