About This Position

About the Role:

The Production Lead II plays a critical role in overseeing and managing the daily operations within a non-durable goods manufacturing environment to ensure efficient production processes and high-quality output. This position is responsible for leading a team of production workers, coordinating workflow, and maintaining adherence to safety and quality standards. The Production Lead II acts as a key liaison between management and production staff, facilitating communication and problem-solving to meet production goals and deadlines. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying process improvements and implementing best practices to optimize productivity and reduce waste. Ultimately, the Production Lead II ensures that production targets are met while fostering a safe, compliant, and collaborative work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher in manufacturing, industrial technology, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing production environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of non-durable goods manufacturing processes and quality control standards.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in using production management software and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related discipline.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Certification in safety management or production leadership (e.g., OSHA, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume non-durable goods manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet established schedules and quality standards.
  • Lead, train, and motivate production team members to maintain high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Monitor production processes and equipment to identify and resolve operational issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance and maintenance teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Maintain accurate production records and report on key performance indicators to management.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and minimize waste.
  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist in workforce planning, including scheduling and resource allocation to meet production demands.
