You will be responsible for shaping immersive player experiences by aligning gameplay systems, narrative, and design into a cohesive and compelling product. Acting as the central point of creative direction, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency, innovation, and execution excellence. Accountabilities:
  • Define and uphold the overall creative vision, ensuring all gameplay systems and design elements align with the intended player experience.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to translate strategic objectives into actionable game design direction.
  • Oversee game design across all phases, including concept, pre-production, production, and live operations.
  • Guide and mentor design teams, establishing best practices, quality standards, and clear expectations.
  • Ensure cohesion across departments (art, engineering, production, audio) to maintain consistency and efficiency.
  • Support level design and system implementation, ensuring gameplay elements are effectively translated into engaging experiences.
  • Monitor game balance, pacing, progression, and overall quality to deliver a polished final product.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to ideation, documentation, and creative problem-solving throughout development cycles.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of leadership experience in the video game industry, with a strong creative vision and direction.
  • 5+ years of experience in game design, including lead or management roles.
  • Solid understanding of game development tools and engines, particularly Unreal Engine.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira and structured production workflows.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across design, engineering, art, and marketing teams.
  • Proven ability to balance creativity with technical and production constraints.
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, and documentation skills.
  • Passion for video games, storytelling, and player-centric design.
  • Experience mentoring and developing creative talent within a team environment.
  • Strong awareness of market trends and player expectations.
