Manager, Fund Accounting - REMOTE
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Manager, Fund Administration (Remote). In this role, you will play a pivotal part in transforming fund administration processes and enhancing service delivery for private equity and real estate clients. You will lead a dedicated team, driving operational excellence and ensuring a best-in-class experience for our customers. Accountabilities- Lead making strategic decisions regarding team buildout and operational policies and procedures
- Develop and improve fund administration workflows, applying best practices and process efficiencies
- Identify product development opportunities, providing feedback to the product development teams
- Hire, train and manage a team of fund accountants
- Interface directly with clients to deliver an outstanding client experience
- Serve as a technical accounting expert and key advisor on significant business/accounting decisions
- Review and perform accounting, analytical, & financial reporting duties ensuring accuracy
- Oversee annual audits, assisting with PBC lists and tax returns
- Research and interpret the impact of recent accounting developments
- 7+ years of fund accounting experience in private equity, venture capital and/or real estate funds
- 3+ years of people management experience, including hiring and performance management
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field
- Comfortable with ambiguity in a hyper-growth, startup environment
- Experience with fund-level accounting and reporting for complex fund structures
- Advanced understanding of complex accounting transactions
- Knowledge of waterfall, performance metrics (IRRs), distributions and capital calls calculations
- Passion for technology and a desire to use it to enhance business operations
