About the Role:
As a Facilities Specialist at Alta Climbing, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our gym. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, ensuring a positive experience for our members and staff. This is a part-time role.
What You’ll Do:
Daily Maintenance
- Clean climbing surfaces and equipment according to safety standards.
- Ensure proper sanitation of restrooms, locker rooms, and common areas.
- Empty trash and recycling bins.
- Dust furniture, windows, and other surfaces.
- Replenish supplies and equipment.
- Preventative Maintenance:
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues.
- Report maintenance needs to the Facilities Manager.
- Assist with minor repairs and troubleshooting
Deep Cleaning:
- Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks, including pressure washing, floor scrubbing, and window cleaning.
- Clean climbing walls and routes with specialized equipment.
Landscaping:
- Maintain the grounds and landscaping around the gym.
- Water plants, trim bushes, and remove debris.
Additional responsibilities:
- Be a team player and assist Operations staff members as needed.
- Follow all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude.

Requirements:Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, such as facilities maintenance, housekeeping, or landscaping.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and problem-solving mindset.
- Basic understanding of maintenance and repair procedures.
- Ability to lift and move moderate weight (up to 50 lbs).
- Must be available to work weekends and evenings as needed.
Weekly Schedule
Monday-Friday 7AM-12PM
20Hrs Per Week

Facilities supervisors are “safety sensitive” positions and requires the employee to be drug free. Pre-employment drug tests will be performed for all employees. Violations will result in non-compensated suspension or dismissal.
