This role offers the opportunity to lead the development of a world-class security risk management platform that processes and analyzes enterprise-scale vulnerability data. You will architect and implement distributed systems that transform how large organizations detect, assess, and remediate application security risks. The position combines technical leadership, systems thinking, and user-focused design, with accountability for both engineering culture and technical execution. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the platform is scalable, reliable, and delivers actionable insights for security professionals and developers alike. This is a high-impact role for an experienced engineering leader seeking to drive innovation in security-focused DevSecOps systems.

• Architect and lead the design of distributed systems for processing and analyzing vulnerability data at enterprise scale
• Drive technical strategy for storage, processing pipelines, and microservices-based vulnerability management systems
• Mentor and grow senior engineers, establishing engineering excellence and best practices in distributed systems and performance optimization
• Lead architectural decision-making and enforce standards for observability, fault tolerance, and scalability
• Own the end-to-end user journey for both security teams and developers, translating complex technical capabilities into intuitive experiences
• Collaborate with Product Management, UX, and cross-functional teams to integrate security functionality seamlessly across the platform
• Oversee incident response for availability, performance, and security-related issues, ensuring high reliability of customer-facing systems

Requirements:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years leading distributed systems at scale
• Deep expertise in high-throughput, low-latency systems, polyglot persistence, and complex data models
• Hands-on experience with stream processing frameworks, container orchestration (Kubernetes), and cloud-native observability stacks
• Strong understanding of application security, vulnerability assessment, static analysis, or dependency scanning
• Proven track record of leading large engineering teams (40+ engineers) and transforming engineering culture
• Excellent technical communication skills and ability to align stakeholders on architectural decisions
• Experience with system architecture for large-scale data processing, automated remediation workflows, and enterprise-grade security systems
• Startup or high-growth company experience is a plus
