Riverwalk Village is seeking dynamic, passionate, and engaging Group Exercise Instructors to join our growing wellness team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead energizing morning and afternoon classes designed specifically for our Independent and Assisted Living residents. As a Fitness Instructor, you will play a pivotal role in guiding individuals toward achieving their health and wellness goals through personalized and group exercise programs. Your expertise will help clients improve their physical fitness, strength, and overall well-being by delivering safe, effective, and engaging training sessions. You will assess clients' fitness levels, design tailored workout plans, and provide ongoing motivation and support to ensure consistent progress. Additionally, you will educate clients on proper exercise techniques, injury prevention, and healthy lifestyle habits. Your work will contribute to fostering a positive and inclusive environment that encourages long-term commitment to fitness and wellness.

Qualifications:
- Current Group Exercise Certification (preferred)
- Current CPR Certification Association
- Strong communication and public speaking skills
- Solid understanding of exercise science principles and safe fitness practices
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and create an exceptional participant experience
- Physical ability to demonstrate and safely perform exercises
- Willingness to conduct a 15-minute demonstration class as part of the interview process
Responsibilities:
- Lead safe, effective, and results-driven group exercise classes with energy, creativity, and professionalism
- Provide clear instruction on proper form, technique, and modifications to accommodate varying abilities and fitness levels
- Cultivate a supportive, motivating, and inclusive class environment where residents feel encouraged and connected
- Deliver engaging and dynamic sessions that keep participants excited and coming back
- Serve as a positive ambassador for Riverwalk Village, embodying our mission, values, and commitment to wellness excellence
Skills:
The required skills such as Fitness Training, Personal Training, and CPR/AED certification are essential for safely guiding clients through effective workouts and emergency situations. Exercise Physiology knowledge allows you to design scientifically sound programs that improve strength, endurance, and functional capacity. Weight Training and Strength Training skills enable you to tailor resistance exercises that build muscle and enhance physical performance. Wellness Coaching and Fitness Instruction skills are used daily to educate, motivate, and support clients in adopting healthier lifestyles. Functional Training expertise helps you create practical movement patterns that improve clients' everyday activities and reduce injury risk.
