Product Management Intern (May 2026)
Your New Role and TeamSanctuary AI, a world leader in building dexterity-driven Physical AI for general purpose robots, is looking to hire a skilled and motivated Product Management Intern to join our Product team for an 8 month term starting May 2026. The Product Management Intern is a crucial part of our team, supporting Physical AI. Reporting to the Staff Product Manager, Physical AI and Software, youll contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our growing organization.
As Sanctuary AIs Product Management Intern, you'll be a valued part of the team as you support the continued improvement in our Product function, own the coordination of team project deliverables, and innovate best practices that drive continuous improvements in our Physical AI.Our Success Criteria

About Sanctuary AIFounded in 2018, Sanctuary builds humanoid robots and a novel control system for them that integrates symbolic logic and reasoning with data-driven robot foundation models. We use our robots to collect vision, audio, touch, and proprioception data from the perspective of the robot while they perform real-world work tasks. We use that data to train multimodal robot foundation models. Because our systems are vertically integrated, we can design, deploy, and refine at scale. Our mission is to create the world's first human-like intelligence in general-purpose robots.

- Gather, clarify, and document requirements from engineering, research, operations, and other internal stakeholders.
- Translate product needs into structured artifacts such as product requirements documents (PRDs), user stories, milestones, and acceptance criteria.
- Support product validation efforts, including testing coordination, issue triage, and feedback collection from deployments.
- Help close feedback loops between real-world usage and product iteration.
- Analyze product and performance data to identify trends, surface insights, and support decision-making.
- Assist in evaluating tradeoffs related to performance, feasibility, and system constraints.
- Communicate progress and updates through clear written summaries and presentation materials.
- Support alignment across cross-functional teams and leadership.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to keep complex work streams structured and moving.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to synthesize technical detail into clear updates.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage ambiguity.
- Previous internship/co-op experience in product, engineering, operations, or technical program support preferred.
- Familiarity with robotics, automation, embedded systems, control systems, or AI/ML concepts preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize findings into clear product insights and recommendations.
- Comfort discussing technical constraints and understanding how engineering decisions influence product outcomes.
- Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Notion, Figma, or spreadsheets for product tracking and reporting.
- Basic understanding of agile development practices and product lifecycle concepts.
- Bias for action and a get it done mindset.
- Comfortable learning quickly and working in ambiguity
- A strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability, both individually and as part of a team.
- Clear and confident communicator with excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of solving problems independently.
