Material Handler at EMT International – Hobart, Wisconsin

The Material Handler is responsible for safely and efficiently handling, moving, and storing materials to support manufacturing, production, and shipping operations. This role supports both inventory and shipping/receiving areas, with cross-training in both. Responsibilities include fulfilling orders, maintaining inventory, managing incoming and outgoing shipments, and moving materials between departments.

Material Handler Responsibilities

• Safely load, unload, move, and stage materials throughout the EMT International facility
• Deliver raw materials, components, and supplies to production areas in a timely manner
• Drive company vehicles to pick up orders and deliver parts locally as required
• Ensure timely and accurate local pickups and deliveries from vendors, suppliers, and customers
• Perform shipping and receiving duties, including unloading incoming shipments and preparing outgoing shipments
• Verify incoming and outgoing materials against packing slips, bills of lading, and work orders for accuracy
• Package, label, and prepare materials and finished goods for shipment
• Accurately pick and issue components for internal and external orders
• Maintain and monitor stock levels and supplies
• Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts and tracking
• Identify and report material shortages, damaged items, or discrepancies to leadership
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other handling equipment

Material Handler Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required
• Forklift/high-lift training preferred
• Ability to lift/move materials and work in a physically active role
