This role offers a high-impact opportunity to lead the design and implementation of enterprise data platforms built on Snowflake, shaping the organization’s data strategy and enabling AI-ready ecosystems. You will architect scalable data models, define integration patterns, and ensure robust governance, security, and performance across multi-domain platforms. Collaborating with cross-functional teams including analytics, integration, and governance, you will translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions. This role combines strategic vision, hands-on development, and leadership responsibilities in a flexible, innovative, and remote-friendly environment, providing a platform to influence the future of data-driven decision-making.

Accountabilities:

The Snowflake Lead will drive the architecture, development, and operational excellence of enterprise data systems:

  • Define and own the Snowflake architecture and enterprise data platform strategy.
  • Design scalable data models across enterprise, domain, and semantic layers.
  • Lead architecture for data ingestion (batch, real-time, streaming), transformation (ELT), and serving (analytics, AI/ML, APIs).
  • Establish and enforce data governance, security, and access controls, including RBAC, masking, and policies.
  • Architect multi-domain data models (Customer, Product, Vendor, Finance, etc.) and integrate with iPaaS tools (Boomi, MuleSoft, Workato).
  • Partner with Data Governance teams to ensure cataloging, lineage, and data quality alignment.
  • Optimize Snowflake performance, cost, and workload management, while guiding teams on CI/CD, DevOps, and automation best practices.
  • Lead stakeholder discussions, translating business needs into architecture designs, and support proposal development for new or expanded client projects.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise, hands-on experience, and leadership in modern data systems:

  • 8+ years in data architecture, data engineering, or analytics platforms.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture and enterprise data solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, lakehouse architectures, dimensional modeling, and data vault.
  • Experience designing ELT pipelines, real-time and event-driven architectures.
  • Proficiency in SQL and performance tuning, and experience integrating with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of security models, including RBAC, row-level security, and data masking.
  • Familiarity with data governance tools (Informatica, Collibra, Alation) and orchestration tools like dbt or Airflow is a plus.
  • Experience enabling AI/ML workflows through data platforms and feature stores is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Optional certifications: Snowflake SnowPro Advanced (Architect).
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range: $120,000 – $130,000 USD, plus eligibility for annual discretionary bonus.
  • Remote work flexibility across the United States.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, including HSA/FSA accounts, life and disability insurance, fertility and family planning benefits.
  • Flexible, unlimited time off (UTO) and 11 paid federal holidays.
  • 401(k) with generous company match and immediate vesting.
  • Career growth opportunities with flexible advancement and mobility tracks.
  • Supportive and inclusive work environment valuing individual experiences and well-being.
