Under the supervision of the Group Home Manager, the Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Residential, Night Awake ensures the safety and well-being of residents during overnight hours. Responsibilities include monitoring clients, providing direct care, implementing Individual Service Agreements (ISA), and performing assigned housekeeping tasks.

Major Responsibilities1. Direct Care
  • Supervise residents overnight and respond to personal and medical needs.
  • Administer medications as assigned and follow all care plans.
  • Assist with transfers and personal care (e.g., toileting, hygiene).
  • Change bedding as needed for resident comfort.
  • Remain knowledgeable of emergency procedures.
  • Serve as a positive role model for residents and staff.
2. Program Support
  • Participate as an active member of the Group Home team.
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings and trainings.
  • Implement and document Individual Plans accurately.
  • Advocate for residents and promptly communicate concerns or improvement ideas to the Group Home Manager.
3. Documentation
  • Complete progress notes, timesheets, incident reports, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
4. Housekeeping
  • Inspect the home for hazards and report issues to the Manager.
  • Perform laundry, light meal preparation, and general cleaning tasks as assigned.
