Pay for this position is $30 to $34 an hour DOE

The Foreman responsibilities and abilities include but are not limited to the list below. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Read, understand, interpret and enforce safety policies and practices.
2. Examines blueprints to determine dimensions of structure.
3. Lays out floor-plan/worksite as needed.
4. Determines sequence of activities concerned with fabrication, assembly, and erection of structure.
5. Assigns workers to such tasks as cutting material to size, building concrete forms, erecting wooden framework, and laying flooring.
6. Inspects work performed by subordinates to ensure quality.
7. Supervises workers engaged in building timber structures such as cofferdams, trestles, and supports for concrete forms.
8. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product to increase efficiency of work crew.
9. Analyzes and resolves work problems, assists workers in solving work problems, and initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
10. Maintain a general knowledge of equipment used on the job including basic understanding of equipment limits and designed purposes.

1. A minimum of 2 years of Supervisor or Lead concrete structures carpentry work experience – supervising carpenters, laborers, and concrete finishers.
2. A minimum of 8 years of concrete carpenter work for roadways / highways.
3. A minimum of 8 years of work experience and understanding of concrete forms, form setting in concrete structures for roadway projects and or bridge projects.
4. A minimum of 4 years of reading blueprints work experience in civil projects, concrete paving and roadway concrete (curbs, box culverts, etc.) projects.
