About This Position
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Test Engineer, AI Compute Infrastructure - Stargate in the United States.
This role sits at the core of next-generation AI infrastructure development, where hardware reliability and manufacturing precision directly enable frontier-scale AI systems. You will work across hardware engineering, manufacturing partners, and deployment teams to define and execute robust test strategies for high-performance compute infrastructure. The position requires a highly hands-on engineer who can operate across design, production, and validation boundaries in a lean, fast-moving environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring that complex AI hardware systems are fully testable, production-ready, and scalable across global manufacturing sites. This is a high-impact role where your work directly influences system reliability, yield performance, and field stability. The environment is highly technical, collaborative, and focused on solving real-world manufacturing and infrastructure challenges at scale.
In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize manufacturing test systems that ensure the reliability and scalability of advanced AI compute hardware. Your responsibilities include:
- Developing and deploying manufacturing test strategies and solutions in collaboration with global manufacturing partners and suppliers.
- Defining test requirements with hardware, systems, and NPI teams, ensuring strong Design for Test (DFT) principles are embedded early in development.
- Designing, building, and validating test stations, fixtures, and tooling for scalable production environments.
- Creating and maintaining automated test scripts for functional validation, diagnostics, and feature verification.
- Managing sustaining test operations, including updates to hardware, firmware, and software used in manufacturing test systems.
- Identifying, analyzing, and resolving manufacturing yield issues and field escapes through structured root cause and corrective action processes.
- Improving test coverage, reducing test time, and optimizing manufacturing cost while maintaining high product quality standards.
- Ensuring consistent test execution across manufacturing sites through strong documentation and process standardization.
The ideal candidate brings strong hardware engineering and manufacturing test expertise, with the ability to operate in complex, cross-functional environments. You should be highly analytical, hands-on, and comfortable working closely with external manufacturing partners. Key qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in hardware engineering or manufacturing test engineering roles.
- Proven experience developing and integrating manufacturing test systems using instrumentation, custom electronics, and fixturing.
- Strong background in managing test systems to improve manufacturability, yield, and production quality.
- Experience with server, networking, or data center hardware testing at board or system level (preferred).
- Proficiency in Python or Shell scripting, with familiarity in Linux-based environments.
- Knowledge of test station bring-up, validation methodologies, and calibration techniques (e.g., correlation, gage R&R).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system-level manufacturing issues.
- Ability to define structured test plans and execute rigorous validation procedures.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work across engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams.
- Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI compute infrastructure powering frontier-scale systems.
- High-impact role influencing hardware reliability, yield, and global production scalability.
- Exposure to advanced manufacturing environments and leading global suppliers.
- Competitive compensation aligned with senior engineering responsibilities.
- Collaborative, hands-on engineering culture focused on innovation and execution excellence.
- Opportunity to work at the intersection of AI systems, hardware engineering, and large-scale infrastructure deployment.
