About This Position

Position Title: Marketing Manager

Department: Marketing

Reports To: Director of Marketing

FLSA Designation: Non-exempt

SUMMARY: Works with the Director of Marketing and marketing team to build incentive programs, analyze reporting, special events/promotions to support and enhance customer loyalty. Write, edit, and proofread copy related to the communications, advertising, and public relations areas including print and outdoor media, print collateral, direct mail, advertorial, signage, and social media.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

• Utilizes player-tracking system and player-tracking tools reporting system to develop programs.

• Orders merchandise; generates reports and maintains inventory controls.

• Communicates promotional programs at operation levels.

• Works with senior management, marketing, casino operations and others to develop procedures for tracking slot play, player lists, promotions and events.

• Responsible for the planning of Promotion functions, including drafting and submitting Promotion Notification Reports to the Gaming Commission for approval.

• Compiles mailing lists for direct mail.

• Collects/build and load graphic based promotions for all properties.

• Reviews marketing collateral, ad copy to detect errors in spelling, punctuation, grammar, syntax, and verifying facts. Rewrites or modified copy to clarify meaning and to conform to corporate style guidelines and editorial policy.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises Marketing Coordinator.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred. Two (2) years of Marketing, Public Relations, and/or Guest Service experience required. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must be able to successfully complete the background check and licensing process, required by the Pawnee Nation Gaming Commission

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to employees, patrons, management, and directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Ability to maintain Human Resources confidentiality. Must maintain professional behavior and possess exceptional customer and employee service skills at all times.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is almost continuously required to walk, sit, stand, and talk or hear. The employee may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, such as boxes of paper.
