Network Operations Engineer at Distro – Nairobi

TCP/IP, routing protocols, VLANs, QoS Network equipment: Cisco, Ruckus, Aruba/HP, Meraki Firewalls: Cisco ASA, Fortinet, WatchGuard Monitoring tools: SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Zabbix, Cosmos Packet analysis using Wireshark and tcpdump VPN, SD-WAN, load balancers, wired (ethernet & fiber) and wireless networking Property Management Systems (PMS) and hospitality technology (preferred)At Solvo Global we are hiring a Network Operations Engineer in Kenya. This is a 100% on-site position requiring fluency in English.

Job Description:

Ensure 24/7 availability and performance of network infrastructure

Continuous monitoring, incident response, escalation management, and technical support

Maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support business-critical operations

Skills Required:

Technical / Hard Skills:

TCP/IP, routing protocols, VLANs, QoS

Experience with network equipment such as Cisco, Ruckus, Aruba/HP, Meraki

Firewalls: Cisco ASA, Fortinet, WatchGuard

Monitoring tools: SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Zabbix, Cosmos

Packet analysis using Wireshark and tcpdump

Knowledge of VPN, SD-WAN, load balancers, wired (ethernet & fiber) and wireless networking

Familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS) and hospitality technology (preferred)
