About This Position

About the Role:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Software Program Manager to join our team. In this role, you will manage projects related to WiFi routers, extenders, and cloud platforms. You will also interact directly with customers to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure their needs are met. A strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) is essential, and experience with cloud applications is a plus. Excellent communication skills are critical, as you will collaborate with global teams across different time zones. Proficiency in Chinese is strongly preferred to facilitate communication with regional teams and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management:

o Plan, execute, and oversee projects involving next generation broadband access solutions, cloud managed Wi-Fi, and edge AI solutions for ISPs

o Lead and coordinate a distributed global project team of 20–50 developers

o Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and customers.

o Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring milestones are met on schedule.

o Identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues to keep projects on track.

2. Customer Interaction:

o Communicate directly with customers to gather requirements, provide project updates, and address concerns.

o Act as the primary point of contact for customer-related project inquiries and feedback.

o Ensure customer needs are clearly understood and incorporated into project plans.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

o Work closely with engineering, product management, QA, and other teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.

o Facilitate communication between global teams, including those in different time zones.

o Bridge the gap between technical teams and customers, ensuring clear and effective communication.

4. Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC):

o Apply a strong understanding of SDLC to manage projects effectively, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.

o Ensure projects adhere to best practices in software development and project management.

5. Technical Understanding:

o Develop a strong understanding of WiFi router and extender technologies, as well as cloud platform functionalities.

o Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to contribute to project innovation.

6. Communication and Reporting:

o Provide regular project updates to stakeholders and customers, including status reports, risk assessments, and progress summaries.

o Conduct meetings and presentations to share project updates and gather feedback.

o Ensure all documentation is clear, concise, and accessible to relevant teams and customers.

Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

 3-5 years of experience in project management, software development, or a related role.

 Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).

 Experience with cloud applications or platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with global teams and customers.

 Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) is strongly preferred.

 Familiarity with WiFi technologies, networking, and cloud platforms is a plus.

 Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana) is desirable.

 Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
