Are you passionate about helping others thrive through engaging programs and meaningful activities? We are seeking an Activity Director to lead our activity therapy and related departments. In this role, you’ll supervise a dedicated team, design and coordinate activity programs, and ensure compliance with facility standards. Your work will bring purpose, joy, and structure to the individuals we serve while guiding and mentoring staff to deliver excellent care.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor a core group of activity staff.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee daily and weekly activity schedules.
  • Hire, train, and evaluate team members, fostering growth and accountability.
  • Develop and facilitate group and individual activities that support therapeutic, social, and recreational goals.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting to meet facility and client standards.
  • Collaborate with clinical and program teams to integrate activities into treatment plans.
  • Monitor program quality, compliance with policies, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • What We’re Looking For

    Education & Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (required)
  • Master’s degree (preferred)
  • Experience

  • Two (2) years of experience in a social or recreational program within the past five (5) years (required in CA)
  • At least one (1) year full-time experience leading client activities/programs in a mental health setting (required in CA)
  • Licenses/Certifications

  • Licensed in California as one of: Occupational Therapist, Art Therapist, Music Therapist, Dance Therapist, or Recreation Therapist (required)
