Commerical Estimator at Stonebrook Exterior – Denver, Colorado

Stonebrook Exterior is seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess prior roofing estimating experience with excellent time management and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines. This role involves reviewing bid opportunities, advising on the selection of bids to pursue, and creating accurate project proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review bid opportunities and advise on the selection of bids to pursue.
• Create proposals and submit project bids in accordance with company bidding procedures, ensuring overall cost accuracy and timely completion.
• Attend all pre-bid site meetings to prepare accurate estimates.
• Participate in construction meetings from pre-construction to project closeout.
• Analyze and comprehend project plans, specifications, and details.
• Analyze project financials and labor costs.
• Complete thorough bid packages for clients.
• Prepare takeoffs/estimates of cost materials, labor, and equipment.
• Prepare and follow-up on quotations and provide advice on tendering procedures, including examination and analysis of estimates.
• Establish and maintain relationships with Strategic Accounts, such as consultants and customers.
• Review all contracts and accepted quotations.
• Prepare and maintain a directory of product suppliers.
• Review products used in projects.
• Consult and communicate with Project Managers, superintendents, engineers, and clients involved at all levels of a project.
• Make site visits to collect bidding information.
• Maintain communication with project contacts regarding scheduling.
• Control and prioritize multiple activities while handling multiple projects.
• Participate in post-job review/analysis of actual costs versus estimated costs through job cost system for use on future projects.

Qualifications:

• Minimum High School Diploma, graduate preferred.
• Construction background is required.
• 2-3 Roofing Estimating experience, required.
• Basic math skills necessary for building accurate estimates.
• Basic proficiency in technology and sales.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• Experience in Stack Estimating software is a plus.
