About This Position
The Supervisor works closely with the DMAC Operations Manager and client to design and maintain all staffing levels in order to guarantee contractual compliance and expected financial targets. The Supervisor is responsible for anticipating and planning for future staffing needs, leading recruitment initiatives through the recruitment team, and allocating new hires to suitable schedules and positions in accordance with operational needs and employee strengths. The Supervisor will also be in charge of increasing officer productivity in order to reduce unneeded overtime and non-billable costs. The Supervisor will be responsible for requesting uniforms and other equipment, complete all required employment documentation with the employee, and keep track of operational metrics to inform business choices at site level. Additional responsibility, the Supervisor will be the front line liaison between clients and DMAC Operations Manager. This position is vital to the healthy relationship with our clients. There is an expectation for constant communications through client visits, business reviews and being a trusted advisor to DMAC clients. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned: Ensure that every component of the security function is carried out diligently on-site (staffing, scheduling, and providing all DMAC workers assigned to his or her site with the necessary training). Manage the scheduling systems to make sure that all positions and shifts are adequately staffed, that all workers are paid fairly, and that all schedules accurately reflect the services provided. Maintain future work schedules by only allocating individuals who have the necessary training; implement and enhance thorough tracking of personnel, their training, and their credentials; Create and implement staffing plans to make sure the physical security workforce is ready for both long-term development of the workforce and emergency operations. Develop and implement quality assurance procedures. Offer professional advice on how to address any issues. Measure and assess the competency and effectiveness of physical security workers to ensure they are fulfilling vendor and client requirements. Maintain an active role in the hiring, interviewing, vetting, and training of new hires; take part in the completion of performance reviews; deal with employee complaints or grievances; and, after consulting with the operations manager and human resources, discipline employees. When security professionals are allocated to his or her site, constantly inspecting their job performance will help to ensure service quality and contract compliance. Protect employee data related to salaries, benefits, and performance Attend to customer requests Client and DMAC collaboration on physical security assessments and post orders Give subordinates guidance and advice regarding the performance of their duties Make suggestions for decisions on sanctions or recommendations involving security personnel. Together with the site crew, create and maintain an inventory of essential supplies on-site, including but not limited to emergency medical supplies, emergency meals, flashlights, batteries, wet weather clothing, etc. Maintain the security officer uniform ordering procedure to guarantee that all staff are properly attired and that worn-out uniform components are promptly replaced. Keep a variety of records of conversations and happenings. Organize the upkeep of equipment and technology to carry out everyday tasks. Make autonomous decisions when allocating individuals to shift schedules to match skills to the particular post while balancing officer utilization to reduce non-billable overtime to fulfill defined business goals. Work with OM and Procurement to identify the equipment types that will be used for the work or the supplies required. Creation and upkeep of operational metrics Scheduling tasks according to operational requirements, training histories, and person skill sets Assignment of open shifts to increase officer productivity and decrease non-billable costs Submitting purchase orders Help the operations management team with all of the aforementioned activities and initiatives. Make suggestions to management about increasing production and decreasing costs.
