This is not a sit-back leadership role. You’ll be actively engaged on the floor—supporting, selling, coaching, and helping your team maximize every opportunity.
What You’ll Do
Drive Sales & Support the Team
- Work alongside Home Furnishing Consultants (HFCs) to support and maximize every guest interaction
- Help close sales and make sound business decisions that drive results
- Actively sell on the floor while coaching and supporting others
- Ensure consistent execution of the sales process—from greeting to closing
- Lead impactful daily huddles that energize and focus the team
Coach & Develop Talent
- Train and guide HFCs on building connections, uncovering needs, and delivering solutions
- Provide real-time coaching and feedback to improve performance
- Foster a positive, team-first culture with support and accountability
- Partner with the General Manager to align on performance, goals, and team development
Deliver an Exceptional Guest Experience
- Create a welcoming, high-energy environment for every guest
- Ensure the team effectively communicates product value, financing options, and services
- Encourage strong use of tools like STORIS and CXM to build lasting guest relationships
- Reinforce a “why buy here” mindset across the team
Own the Business Metrics
- Help drive and manage key performance indicators including:
- Sales volume
- Close rate
- Average ticket
- Margin
- Protection & financing performance
- Use reporting and data to identify opportunities and improve results
- Ensure accuracy and compliance through regular sales audits
Maintain Store Excellence
- Support daily store operations, including opening/closing when needed
- Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and properly merchandised
- Maintain pricing accuracy, signage, and promotional execution
- Assist with tagging, product handling, and guest carry-outs when needed
What You Bring
- Proven retail sales experience with a passion for coaching and development
- Strong leadership presence—you lead by example and show up on the floor
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and stay composed in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfort using sales systems and reporting tools (STORIS/POS experience a plus)
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, or move furniture up to 75 lbs
- Comfortable working across showroom, guest service, and receiving areas
- Maintain a professional, polished appearance
Competitive Pay + Bonus: Uncapped commissions, performance incentives; pay averaging from 75k-90k
