Senior Graphics Specialist - Print, Photo & Media Services (Galveston) at University of Texas Medical Branch – Galveston, Texas

Minimum Qualification:

Associate's degree or equivalent; 2 years related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Relevant experience working in a Healthcare or Academic setting is highly desirable.

Job Summary:

To provide highly specialized technical support in the graphics area of design and production.

Job Duties:

• Uses computer graphics design software to produce complex printed material for incorporation into brochures, articles, books, posters, letters, etc.
• Works with customers to plan project production to keep within time limitations and budgetary guidelines; determines the most appropriate method of preparation to meet printing production deadlines.
• Creates high-quality designs for poster sessions. Provide the skills necessary to design and print high-quality color large-format posters.
• Monitors and assists in prioritizing multiple projects.
• Makes recommendations for new equipment purchases and purchases of software and or upgrades to management when necessary.
• Assists in various training programs to enhance the level of knowledge of others in the graphics area.
• Produced specialized drawings and illustrations to meet customer requests.
• Be current and knowledgeable of the University Branding Standards.
• Adheres to internal controls and reporting

Salary Range:

Actual salary commensurate with experience.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, and as needed on occasion.
