How you will make an impact
- Work directly with customers, equipment suppliers, and internal teams to gather technical requirements for thermal fluid, process, and utility piping projects.
- Design complete piping systems including equipment layouts, piping routes, pipe sizing, valve locations, and support details.
- Develop installation drawings and engineering packages including plan, elevation, and isometric views for field construction.
- Coordinate system design with equipment suppliers to ensure all components integrate properly and meet project requirements.
- Design supporting systems including flue stacks, natural gas piping, insulation specifications, labeling, and painting requirements.
- Ensure all engineering designs meet applicable codes, safety standards, constructability requirements, and company best practices.
- Provide technical leadership during field installation, supporting the Project Manager, Foreman, and tradesmen with daily guidance.
- Evaluate field conditions and make real-time engineering adjustments to maintain project schedule and design integrity.
- Support project planning activities including kickoff meetings, material coordination, fabrication planning, and procurement support.
- Assist with project closeout by verifying installations, preparing as-built documentation, and supporting final customer turnover.
What You Need to Succeed
- Mechanical degree preferred and/or applicable industry experience.
- Experience managing projects with Process and Utility Piping Systems for food process industry, thermal fluid experience is a plus.
- Minimum of 3+ years' experience in Process and Utility Piping Systems using 2D and 3D software.
- Create manufacturing drawings and schedules.
- Experience with SolidWorks, Inventor, and/or CAD.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience with Procore – Project Management Software (preferred)
- OSHA 30, preferred.
- Availability to travel up to60% of the time.
- Availability to work nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
