Senior Product Designer - Labs
About Fullscript
Were an industry-leading health technology company on a mission to help people get better. We started in 2011 with one simple idea. Make it easier for practitioners to access the products they trust so they can deliver better care.
That simple idea grew into a platform that powers every part of care. Today, more than 125,000 practitioners use Fullscript for clinical insights, lab interpretations, patient analytics, education, and access to high-quality supplements. Over 10 million patients rely on Fullscript to stay connected to their care plans and follow through on treatment.
We build tools that make care smarter and more human. Tools that save time, simplify decisions, and help practitioners stay closely connected to the people they care for. When everything they need is in one place, they can focus on what matters most: helping people get better.
This is your invitation.
Bring your ideas, your grit, and your care for people.
Join us and shape the future of care.
About Fullscript Labs
Labs is the diagnostic foundation of Fullscript — we enable lab testing, clinical interpretation, treatment plans, and practitioner decision-making. Labs is not a feature. It's the infrastructure of whole person care and a core way we help people get better.
In this role, you'll design experiences that help practitioners use lab results and clinical data to help patients quickly, confidently, and at scale. The roadmap is ambitious. The product is evolving. And we work closely with the entire Fullscript ecosystem to compound impact.
The Role
You love building. You're collaborative by nature but thrive with autonomy, and you're energized by problems that aren't fully scoped yet.
We're looking for a designer who has already internalized that the design process is changing — not theoretically, but in practice. Someone who researches and prototypes with AI tools, automates their workflow as much as possible, and who's genuinely curious about what comes next.
You'll partner directly with Engineering and Product to design and ship features across the Labs experience — from data-dense clinical interfaces for practitioners, to lightweight moments for patients. You'll move between high-level strategy and pixel-perfect execution, and you'll hold a high bar for craft throughout.
If you need perfect requirements before you start sketching, this role probably isn't for you. If you're the kind of designer who drives clarity through design — this is for you.
A portfolio is required to be considered for this role.

A portfolio is required to be considered for this role.
- Design and ship Labs features end-to-end — from early concept through implementation and iteration
- Own the design craft in your area: strong visual quality, sharp interaction thinking, edge cases fully considered
- Set a high bar for visual design — hierarchy, information density, and polish that earns trust with the people who use it.
- Prototype rapidly using whatever gets the idea across fastest — Figma, code, AI tools, or all three
- Collaborate tightly with Engineering from exploration through to production — not just handoff
- Use AI tools as a genuine accelerant in your workflow: Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, v0, or similar
- Work with Product Managers and Engineering to define problems, not just receive them
- Execute user research and talk with our users to bring practitioner and patients insights into your design decisions
- Contribute to product strategy and connect design decisions to business outcomes
- 5+ years of product design experience and a portfolio of real, shipped work
- Strong design opinions held loosely — you're open to being wrong and like being challenged
- You can move fluidly between high-level strategy and pixel-perfect execution
- You're actively experimenting with AI tools — you can name them, describe your use cases, and show the output
- Genuinely care about the user experience — not just how something looks, but how fast it loads, how reliably it works, and how it feels across devices
- You think about latency and responsiveness the same way you think about design
- You're comfortable with (and genuinely curious about) code — you don't need to write it, but you engage with it
- You've worked without perfect requirements before and found that energizing, not stressful
- You think in systems but also sweat the details that make products feel great to use
- You've built something with AI that actually shipped — or you're very close
- You understand or are eager to learn about code, AI, and how developers work
- Background in diagnostics, healthcare, or clinical products
- Public design artifacts: side projects, prototypes, open-source contributions, posts
- Designers who need a fully scoped brief before they sketch anything
- Designers whose process must follow a fixed sequence to feel productive
- Designers whose work ends at the handoff file
- Designers who haven't engaged with AI tools and aren't particularly curious about them
- Designers who are uncomfortable presenting rough, early work before it's ready
- Ability to work Wherever You Work Well*
- Flexible Paid Time Off program
- Fullscript’s RRSP match program
- Stock Options
- Custom benefits package (medical, dental, vision) with HSA
- Discount on Fullscript catalog of products for family & friends
- Training budget and company-wide learning initiatives
- Employee Wellness Programs (including no meeting Wednesday)
*Our Wherever You Work Well philosophy means Fullscript teammates get to pick their own office - whether that’s in-office, at home, or a bit of both
We'll be transparent: this team moves fast, priorities shift, and not everything is figured out. If that sounds like a problem, it might not be the right fit. If it sounds like an opportunity — let's talk.
