About This Position

Medical Staff Services Manager

Are you a collaborative and trustworthy leader who is looking to work for a mission-driven company? Valleywise is looking for a dynamic and self -motivated Medical Staff Services Manager to lead the Medical Staff Services team. This exciting role will supervise specific credentialing medical staff services activities for Valleywise Health to assure compliance with statutory and regulatory bodies, policies and procedures.
Annual Salary Rate: $68,307.20 - $100,755.20
Qualifications
Education:
  • Requires an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field of work; or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.
Experience:
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible credentialing or medical staff services related experience that demonstrates a strong understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Requires prior supervisory/management experience.
  • Prefer experience in a healthcare setting.
Certification/Licensure:
  • Must have Certified Professional Medical Staff Management (CPMSM) certification.
  • Dual certification including Certified Professional Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must have knowledge of The Joint Commission, DNV and CMS standards and regulations, medical staff bylaws, credentialing policies, and rules and regulations.
  • Must have the ability to supervise and coordinate the work of subordinate personnel in a manner conducive to full performance and high morale.
  • Must be approachable, people oriented, and a good listener.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and have excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be a change agent able to develop, implement and maintain policies and processes.
  • Requires the ability to be a creative, independent thinker. Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism, customer service, and enthusiasm, combined with the ability to build relationships with business and key stakeholders.
  • Must possess solid analytical and problem-solving skills along with the ability to utilize the appropriate management techniques to plan, organize, control and coordinate activities.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office computer programs.
  • Must have strong typing skills.
  • Must have effective training and supervisory skills.
  • Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
