POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Membership Sales Team Lead is a key in-studio leadership role responsible for driving membership sales performance while overseeing the execution of daily front-of-house operations during assigned shifts.

This role acts as the bridge between studio leadership and Membership Sales Representatives — leading by example on the floor, coaching sales behaviors in real time, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality member experience.

This is a hands-on, player-coach role with accountability for both personal sales performance and team execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Sales Leadership & Performance

  • Lead by example in selling memberships, promotions, and retail products.
  • Support team in achieving studio sales goals, including conversion, revenue, and membership growth.
  • Actively manage and work sales leads across all stages of the funnel (lead ? booked ? attended ? converted).
  • Coach Membership Sales Representatives on:
    • Lead follow-up (text/email cadence)
    • Booking optimization
    • In-studio conversion techniques
  • Ensure strong execution of the First Time Visitor (FTV) experience to maximize conversion.
  • Monitor daily sales activity and provide real-time feedback to team members.

2. Shift Ownership & Studio Operations

  • Act as the leader on duty during assigned shifts.
  • Oversee front desk operations and ensure smooth execution of:
    • Check-ins and class flow
    • Waitlist and cancellation policies
    • Payment processing and account management
  • Ensure all operational tasks are completed to standard:
    • Opening/closing procedures
    • Cleanliness and organization of front-of-house
    • Restocking retail and consumables
    • Locker and facility readiness
  • Troubleshoot and resolve member issues in real time with professionalism and urgency.

3. Team Support & Coaching

  • Provide in-the-moment coaching and support to Membership Sales Representatives.
  • Reinforce company standards for service, hospitality, and sales behaviors.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new team members as needed.
  • Support leadership in maintaining team accountability and performance standards.
  • Foster a positive, high-energy, team-oriented environment.

4. Member Experience & Community

  • Deliver a best-in-class hospitality experience for both FTVs and members.
  • Build strong relationships with members to support retention and community growth.
  • Ensure consistent execution of the brand experience at all touchpoints.
  • Represent the studio within the local community and support outreach initiatives when needed.

5. Communication & Reporting

  • Communicate key updates, performance insights, and operational issues to Studio Leadership.
  • Maintain awareness of all current promotions, campaigns, and studio initiatives.
  • Provide feedback on sales trends, member behavior, and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1–2+ years of experience in boutique fitness, hospitality, retail, or sales (preferred).
  • Prior leadership, keyholder, or shift lead experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong sales mindset with the ability to coach and influence others.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Must be reliable, accountable, and solutions-oriented.
  • Must be able to work 4–5 shifts per week, including weekends and non-traditional hours.
  • CPR/AED certification (preferred but not required).
  • Experience with ClubReady, Mariana Tek, or similar systems (preferred).

  • Stand for extended periods of time.
  • Move throughout the studio frequently.
  • Lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Communicate clearly with members and team in a busy setting.

SUCCESS PROFILE (What Good Looks Like):

  • Strong personal conversion rates and sales performance.
  • Consistent execution of a high-quality FTV experience.
  • Team members are supported, coached, and improving.
