Procurement Manger at ProCompounding Pharmacy – Johnson City, Tennessee

*About Us**
ProCompounding Pharmacy is a fast-growing 503A compounding pharmacy serving patients who need customized medications. As we grow, everything depends on having the right materials in the right place at the right time. This role is central to making that happen.

**The Role**
You’ll manage the sourcing, purchasing, and receiving of everything used and sold in the pharmacy — from raw compounding ingredients to prescription drugs and OTC products.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll build structure, manage vendors, and make sure we stay stocked, compliant, and efficient as we scale.

**What You’ll Do**

* Purchase and manage inventory for:
* Active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), excipients, capsules, bases

* Packaging and lab supplies

* Prescription drugs and OTC products

* Receive and verify shipments (NDCs, lot numbers, expiration dates, quantities)

* Enter inventory into systems accurately and keep records audit-ready

* Follow **DSCSA*
* requirements (track-and-trace, verify suppliers, quarantine issues)

* Manage purchase orders from planning through invoice approval

* Vet and onboard suppliers (C of A, SDS, FDA registration)

* Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times; track vendor performance

* Maintain inventory levels, reorder points, and safety stock

* Work with pharmacy leadership to forecast demand

* Monitor controlled substance purchasing (DEA Schedule III–V)

* Track drug shortages and secure alternatives before they impact patients

* Resolve discrepancies, returns, and vendor issues

* Maintain compliance with USP <795>, <800>, Board of Pharmacy, and audit standards

* Build and improve purchasing processes, reporting, and KPIs

*What We’re Looking For**

* Experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory, or supply chain

* Strong attention to detail (accuracy is critical in this role)

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment

* Confidence working with vendors and negotiating terms

* Solid Excel or Google Sheets skills

* Familiarity with pharmacy or regulated environments (or ability to learn quickly)

* Strong communication and follow-through

**Preferred (not required):**

* Pharmacy, compounding, or regulated manufacturing experience

* Knowledge of USP <795>/<800>, DSCSA, or DEA requirements

* Inventory or ERP system experience

* Procurement certifications or pharmacy technician license
