ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Policies, Secure information sharing and Data Risk Mitigation, Thought Leadership, Cyber Strategies, and

Resilient Software Engineering.

The responsibilities of the Advanced Engineer include software development, documentation development, component test development and execution, system test, and other general software development tasks. The qualifications for Senor Engineer include knowledge of engineering principles to include research and engineering assignments, experience in the generation of software components while following a designated software development lifecycle, experience in the generation of artifacts that support the full development lifecycle, and a degree in engineering or scientific discipline. A bonus would be experience with the generation of DevSecOps artifacts. The Advanced Engineer will have experience in developing software that is deployed on a security-enhanced operating platform.

Requirements:

BS degree in engineering or scientific discipline and 5+ years of professional experience.

Qualifications:

• Expert working in a Linux and Git-based development environment

• Experience with full life cycle development (SDLC) in an Agile environment

• Knowledge of programming in GoLang, Java, C++

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Programming and debugging skills

• Experience developing software that is deployed on security-enhanced operating platforms.

• Experience working with Systems Engineers to break an architecture to a developmental roadmap

• Experience working in a virtualized networking environment (ESXI, VMware, Networking)

• Experience with peer-review of software and documentation products

• Must be a US citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred (but not required):

• Cloud Development (AWS or AZURE)

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably Terraform, Ansible, or Packer (HashiCorp suite)

• Cloud and Platform experience, including Azure and vSphere

• Experience with both Bash and Python

• Experience with Containers and Orchestration, including Kubernetes and Docker/Podman

• Basic knowledge of networking

• Familiarity with Build Management, Continuous Integration, and Automated Testing (example: Gitlab)

• Experience with Cross Domain Solutions

• Experience developing Protocols

• Experience with producing software design documentation
