Kraken Robotics is currently seeking a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Technician to join our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

Roles and Responsibilities

• The primary purpose of the position is to develop and maintain inspections on parts and products.
• Complete incoming, outgoing and in process quality control inspections on parts and products.

• Organize and create tasks for all required incoming quality control inspections.

• Complete accurate quality control reports.

• Initiate and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

• Manage and monitor requirements for RMA parts to suppliers.

• Manage and update quality control procedures and documents as required.

• Monitor and control configuration management (assets and calibrated equipment).

• Participate in quality audits as required.

• Other duties as assigned by the Quality Lead.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Degree in electronics technology (or equivalent) with at least two years’ work experience.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills (technical reporting and engineering documentation).

• A background in metrology an asset.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures.

• Experience in the use and maintenance of electronic test equipment.

• Experience in the use of inventory systems.

• High degree of organization with the ability to prioritize tasks.

• Electronic troubleshooting experience is an asset.

• Knowledge of dimensional mechanical inspection is an asset.

• Previous experience in ISO9001 environment is an asset.
