Wages
$17.00 per hour

Schedule
This position is in-person and part-time (20 hours per week). The hours of childcare are 7am-6pm so flexibility in scheduling is needed.
FamilyWise is seeking a Childcare Aide to support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality care and early education. This role assists with daily activities, helps maintain a safe and engaging environment, and contributes to children’s development under the supervision of a Teacher or Assistant Teacher.
Responsibilities
- Assist Teachers in implementing lesson plans aligned with Creative Curriculum.
- Help create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities (indoor and outdoor).
- Support children’s learning, play, and social development.
- Promote healthy habits, including nutrition and personal hygiene.
- Build positive, cooperative relationships with families.
- Follow all Rule 3 licensing regulations.
- Assist with diapering, toileting, handwashing, and mealtime routines.
- Help maintain a clean, safe classroom environment (toys, tables, cots, etc.).
- Support room setup, organization, and bulletin boards.
- Participate in required trainings (CPR/First Aid, SIDS/AHT, curriculum training).
Who You Are
- You have experience working with children (preferred, but not required).
- You’re comfortable working with culturally and racially diverse communities, including families facing economic challenges.
- You stay organized and can juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball.
- You communicate professionally and understand the importance of strong customer service.
- You handle conflict with patience and good judgment.
- You’re comfortable using basic computer programs like Microsoft Office.
- You build positive working relationships with coworkers and contribute to a team environment.
- You can work both independently and collaboratively.
- You understand your role and use good judgment in carrying out responsibilities.
- You speak more than one language (a plus, not required).
