Isuzu is seeking skilled Fabricators to support the launch and operation of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Greenville County, South Carolina. Fabricators play a critical role by creating and modifying the structures, fixtures, and tools that keep production and maintenance operations running safely and efficiently.

Isuzu North America Corporation is investing approximately $280 million to establish a new 1 million-square-foot manufacturing facility in Greenville County, South Carolina. Located on more than 200 acres, the facility will support a flexible production line capable of manufacturing both internal combustion and electric vehicles.

Production will include N-Series Gas, N-Series Electric, and F-Series Diesel trucks, with a targeted capacity of up to 50,000 units annually by 2030. Manufacturing operations are expected to begin in 2027, with additional expansion planned for 2028.

Strategically located near I-85, I-26, and the Port of Charleston, the site supports streamlined logistics and centralized operations, bringing more than 700 new jobs to the region.

• High school diploma or GED required

• Completion of a certified welding or metal fabrication program preferred

• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial or structural fabrication, preferably in a manufacturing environment

• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or STICK welding and metal fabrication techniques

• Experience operating fabrication equipment such as plasma cutters, grinders, saws, brakes, and drill presses

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and welding symbols

• Strong understanding of materials, joint design, welding methods, and fabrication safety requirements

• Strong attention to detail, measurement accuracy, and layout precision

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

• Flexibility to support a two-shift operation, including overtime or alternate shifts as required

• Fabricate, weld, and assemble custom parts, tools, fixtures, and production support structures

• Interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and sketches to plan, cut, bend, fit, and weld components to specification

• Operate metalworking equipment including MIG/TIG/STICK welders, plasma cutters, grinders, saws, and drill presses

• Perform layout and measurement tasks using calipers, tape measures, and layout tools

• Inspect fabricated components to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications

• Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering teams to develop custom solutions and equipment modifications

• Maintain fabrication tools and equipment in safe working condition

• Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements, hot work protocols, and material handling standards

• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and plant safety standards

• Support facility improvements, tooling projects, and production modifications

• Perform other duties as assigned to support department and company objectives
