Job Summary
Are you a Sterile Certified Pharmacy Technician looking for an exciting opportunity? We seek a dedicated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about patient care. In this role, you will work closely with pharmacists on repackaging, compounding, and filling sterile medications, directly impacting patient well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Compound prescriptions with precision and care.
Ensure timely and accurate medication distribution.
Organize and manage medication orders and records.
Monitor and replenish medication supplies.
Print batch records shell.
Pestle log entries
Eagle & Pioneer Submissions
Handle shift scheduling for technicians and review timecard submissions.
Attend Leadership meetings.
Responsible for quarterly evaluations
Training from baseline/SOP for new employees
Along with these tasks, the lead must also be able to assist different departments as needed.
Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma or GED required
Active Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPHT-TX) license in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
Minimum of one (1) year of recent, hands-on experience in a sterile compounding pharmacy technician role
IV Certification with demonstrated experience in aseptic technique and sterile preparation
Successful completion of 40 hours of accredited sterile compounding training, in compliance with applicable USP standards
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential issued by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
Five (5) or more years of progressive experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably within a high-volume or regulated compounding environment
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification and/or 5S Certification, demonstrating a commitment to process improvement, efficiency, and quality standards
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods of time at a desk and working on a computer.
Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, or via virtual meeting.
Ability to maintain focus in a typical office environment with moderate noise levels.
Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands and arms, such as typing.
