Yard Attendant at Chinook Equipment – Nisku, Alberta

Chinook Equipment in Nisku is looking for a motivated and hardworking individual to join our service team as a Yard Attendant. This is an entry-level role where you will clean and rearrange equipment, assist in maintaining the appearance of the Branch and other tasks as required. The successful candidate will work full-time and have the opportunity to develop and advance their career with us in the future. We are offering a wage of $18-$25 per hour, depending on experience.

Our ideal candidate is experienced and comfortable being around heavy equipment, reliable, and not afraid to get their hands dirty while wearing different hats throughout the day. Interested candidates are encouraged to drop their resume off at our branch in addition to applying online.

What You’ll Do:

• Clean equipment as indicated, pressure-washing away mud and dirt to ensure the equipment is presentable
• Maintain all aspects of our organized yard including snow removal, weed spraying, cutting grass, sweeping, emptying trash and other similar tasks
• Haul small equipment on a trailer where needed, as well as ensuring the operational readiness of equipment in the yard
• Move and arrange equipment to maintain organization and cleanliness of lot; compound; and storage outbuildings
• Assist Parts Department by picking up or delivering parts to a Technician or other location as requested
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job requirements:

• High school diploma and valid driver's license
• Experience in hauling a trailer using a pick-up truck
• Preference given to those who have experience in working with heavy equipment and comfortability in doing so
• Strong organization and time management skills and can work with minimal supervision
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
• Forklift Certification an asset
• Ability to pass a criminal record check and possess a clean driving abstract
