About the Role:
As a Starbucks General Manager, you will be the driving force behind the successful operation of a Starbucks store, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and operational excellence. You will lead and inspire a diverse team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment that aligns with Starbucks' values and culture. Your role will involve managing all aspects of store performance, including sales growth, inventory control, and adherence to quality standards. You will be responsible for implementing company initiatives, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, and optimizing store profitability. Ultimately, your leadership will directly impact customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and the overall success of the Starbucks of Sheraton Columbia Downtown Hotel in South Carolina.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience in retail or food service management with a track record of leading teams effectively.
- Strong understanding of business operations including budgeting, inventory control, and sales analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate a diverse team.
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in business or management are advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience managing a Starbucks store or similar quick-service restaurant environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Starbucks’ brand standards, products, and customer service philosophy.
- Experience with employee training and development programs.
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop store partners to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve operational goals.
- Manage daily store operations including inventory management, cash handling, and scheduling to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Drive sales and profitability by analyzing performance metrics and implementing strategies to meet or exceed targets.
- Maintain high standards of product quality, store cleanliness, and safety in accordance with Starbucks policies.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for both customers and partners, promoting Starbucks’ mission and values.
Compensation: $55,000 to $60,000 based on experience.
