About This Position
Patient Accounts Coordinator
The Holyoke Visiting Nurses Association, Inc. is looking to hire a full-time Patient Accounts Coordinator. The Patient Accounts Coordinator position will effectively and efficiently contribute to a successful Revenue Cycle for the home care and hospice programs. This full time position will join our current Patient Account Coordinators in a cohesive team to achieve a positive impact on revenue management. An overview of this position includes:
- Securing proper insurance coverage and authorizations for new patients
- Preparing and submitting insurance re-authorizations and following-up when appropriate
- Speaking with staff members and families regarding billing matters
- Preparing, submitting and following-up on claims and appeals
- Processing payments and reconciling unpaid receivables
- Processing appropriate state and federal notices and documents
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred
- One (1) to three (3) years in home care, medical or related industry billing department
