The University of Pittsburgh, Ophthalmology department is searching for an Administrative Assistant III, This position will assist with personnel maintenance for the department, mail and shipment distribution, badging maintenance, along with other department projects. The full-time position will report to the Assistant Director Administrative Operations.
Associate degree required, with a minimum of 5 years work experience. Excellent communication skills needed, both verbal and written.

Essential Functions
Position Responsibilities
-Building and badging access- Pitt personnel
-Department Package and Mail distribution
-Personnel records maintenance and reappointment, Graduate Student process and maintenance
-Perform administrative tasks for Administrative Operations, review of documents and procedures for clarity and proposes solutions to complex situations.
-Visitor process, documentation and maintenance
-Learn procedures to bring international hires into the department
-Help with various department projects (Inventory, Space, etc)
Physical Effort
This will be a position that has sitting at a desk and walking on a daily basis. Ability to pick up and carry approximately 20lbs is preferred.
