About This Position

Position Description: Position Summary
Restore Educations Employer Engagement Specialist under the direction of the CEO and leadership team is to build out a portfolio of employer partnerships and positively impact job placements across the agency. The Specialist will work with industry partners to promote student career success. The Specialist will work with community partners and business and industry leaders to secure career development opportunities for Restore Education students. Using new and strengthened industry relationships, the Specialist will support facilitation of career preparation to support students as they attain advancement into their chosen field. The Specialist will work collaboratively with directors, staff, community members and industry partners to address the immediate and long-term career development needs of students as they pertain to employment.

Responsibilities
Business Relationships
Present, with commitment and passion, Restore Educations mission, values, and goals to the business community.
Establish, maintain, and strengthen industry and employer relationships within Targeted Occupation Demand areas in the San Antonio and Surrounding area.
Connect with industry partners and advisory boards to support placement success of Restore Education programs.
Develop and maintain opportunities for Restore students to participate in internships, employer visits/tours, job shadowing, work experiences, career-related service learning and other experiential career exploration activities.
Facilitate opportunities to listen to employers, including advisory boards, for workforce training to ensure alignment with labor market needs.
Support a formal quality review process for workforce training and participate in implementing a continuous improvement model.
Collaborate with other agency departments to streamline efforts and facilitate student success.
Document formal partnerships between agency and employers.

Career Development
Research labor market information, such as wages, job descriptions, and local business trends, that informs career advising by staff members.
Coordinate workforce readiness activities that connect students with employers, including hiring tables, job fairs, employer tours, workshops, and internships/externships.
Maintain a variety of job posts connected to partner employers aligned with workforce training programs.
Pre-screen graduates of workforce training programs and support matching process with employer partners for specific positions.
Promote quality customer service of Restore Educations training programs to employer partners and to participating students.
Develop and deliver programming to assist with student job readiness skill development including sessions and workshops around career exploration, networking, resume and cover letter writing, job/internship search strategies, and interviewing skills.
Collaborate with industry partners and team members to ensure students are prepared to identify and promote their skills and abilities as they relate to industry needs.

Data and Reporting
Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, achieve objectives, and submit timely performance plans and reports.
Collect, document, and share data on graduate placements with appropriate staff.
Follow up with employer partners and collect long term data for job retention and customer satisfaction.
Communicate employment placement data with stakeholders.

Agency Responsibilities
Complete required amount of professional development hours each program year.
Perform related duties and fulfill responsibilities as required and/or assigned.
Some travel required.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills
The strongest candidates will have a bachelors degree, and preferably an advanced degree, with the following knowledge, experience, and attributes:
Bachelors Degree
Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred
Three-Five years' experience providing workforce development services
Experience in performance accountability.
Computer literate in Microsoft 365, Google Suite, Salesforce, webinar software.
Energy, enthusiasm, and confidence in building relationships on behalf of organizations.
Exceptional interpersonal communication (oral and written) skills; must be comfortable with public speaking.
Experience managing complex projects from concept to execution, which demands strategic mindset, time management and organizational skills.
Experience working within a high growth, developing organization helpful.
Ability to be forward-thinking and to create long-term relationships rather than one-time transactions.
Ability to react to changing economic challenges and opportunities in the community.

SALARY AND BENEFITS: $44,000 58,000
Benefits: 100% employer-covered health, vision, dental and employer-covered life, plus affordable auxiliary plans, and generous PTO policy.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, based on the organization's needs. Some evenings and Saturdays are required.

PROBATION PERIOD: 90 days
*This position is grant funded. Although the grant is expected to end, additional funding might be obtained to extend the grant beyond the end date. If that would occur, your employment under the grant might also be extended. However, all employment is at will and may be terminated by you or the agency at any time regardless of the end date of the grant.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical requirements include visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, bending, twisting, and walking to perform the essential functions.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
Must possess a valid Class C Texas Drivers License or obtain a valid Class C Texas Drivers License within thirty (30) days after becoming a resident of the State of Texas.
