Job Summary

The Activity Assistant collaborates/assists in the coordination to deliver a comprehensive activity programs to match the needs of patients/residents/tenants of Avera Prince of Peace.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• LTC or health care experience preferred.
• Musical background preferred.

Required Certification, Licensure, and/or Registrations

• Certified Nurse Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of South Dakota required. If not C.N.A. certified, must obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
• This position requires a valid driver’s license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.

Work Schedule

• M-F 8:30am-5:00pm; 80 hours every 2 weeks
  • Weekends: 1-2 per month
  • Holidays: every 4th holiday

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $17.00 - $20.50 per hour
