Job Description
Pay Range: $ 32.38/hr - $ 38.05/hr - $ 43.72/hr
*Please note, the highest starting rate as a new hire is $38.05/hr, based on applicable experience
POSITION SUMMARY:
The LVN Clinical Educator, together with outpatient department leaders, will be responsible for helping with the onboarding and educating of all outpatient’s clinical support staff. This would include staff that are Clinic Techs, Medical Assistants and LVN’s. The incumbent will oversee competency verification for assigned areas as well as conduct, coordinate, and participate in specialty orientation classes/programs as needed. They will participate in continuing education and mandatory education programs such as BLS, yearly competency and yearly skills trainings as well as design and oversee specialty learning plans for employees with identified educational needs. They will participate in global educational programs and regulatory compliance training. They will collaborate with the other Clinical Educators on projects, assuring consistent global education. The LVN Clinical Educator will provide service to specialty areas in collaboration with the Education Center and Ambulatory Leadership.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
Two years clinical experience in a medical setting.
Desired:
Experience in patient mobility in a hospital-based environment.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
Current licensure with the California Board of Vocational Nursing
Current CPR certification
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES
Ability to organize and complete work in an efficient and effective manner while focusing on detail and timeliness. Ability to be flexible in work assignments. Must have typing and computer skills to effectively utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook programs. Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally both one-on-one and in groups. Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality always. Behavior should be reflective of Enloe Health core values. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
