LPN Job Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing care. Be a contributing member to the multidisciplinary health care team and must be able to communicate the needs of the patient/significant others to all disciplines involved in the patient’s care.

Minimum Education/License/Certification Requirements

• Graduate from a licensed practical nursing program.
• Hold a valid license to practice Nursing in the State of Indiana.
• Previous experience is desired but training will be provided.
• CPR at first available opportunity at WHS.
• Computer experience helpful.

Registered Nurse Job Summary The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing care for assigned patients by the use and implementation of the Nursing Process of assessment, derivation of the nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation and re-evaluation of the care by using a holistic approach. The staff nurse is also responsible for preparing the patient and significant other for obtaining and maintaining an optimal level of health, in preparation for their discharge. The Staff Nurse is also responsible for the direct supervision of the Licensed Practical Nurse and the Nursing Assistant. The staff nurse is a contributing member to the multi-disciplinary Health Care Team and must be able to communicate the needs of the patient/significant others to all disciplines involved in the patient’s hospitalization.
Minimum Education/License/Certification Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing program.
• Must hold a valid license to practice Nursing in the State of Indiana and be CPR certified.
• Additional certifications are dependent on assigned care.
