Job Summary

• The Medical Scheduler position involves varying degrees of scheduling, case logging, computer entry, phone answering, order and charge entry, patient, staff, and physician communication, information retrieval, and a general ability to function as a traffic controller in the primary operative services office.
• Provides accurate and timely registration of all patient verifications of insurance benefits.
• Provides patient/family with information on hospital charges, payment options and insurance coverages.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of medical secretarial school preferred.
• Two or more years of clerical experience in a similar work environment preferred.

Work Schedule

• Day Shifts; 72 hours every 2 weeks
• four, 9 hour shifts per week; 30 minute lunch
• No weekends, holidays, or on-call involvement!

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $17.50 - $22.00 per hour
