About This Position
The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) is seeking an experienced professional to coordinate agency initiatives on workplace belonging, equity, and inclusion that will interface with CMAP’s operations, projects, and services. CMAP is a mission-driven agency serving the 284 municipalities and 7 counties of northeastern Illinois as the region’s comprehensive planning organization.
The ideal candidate for this position will have significant experience in culture building strategies, success in system level change and transformational leadership, and project management experience to effectively implement strategic initiatives. This position will work closely with the Deputy Executive Director of People and Operations, executive team, and workplace consultant to implement strategic initiatives. CMAP is looking for someone who can address the intricacies and challenges of culture-building and most importantly, someone who can demonstrate and uphold our core values: Serving with Passion, Pursuing Equity, Fostering Collaboration, Leading with Excellence, and Driving Innovation.
This position is 100% grant funded and will continue for 24 months. The Program Lead will work 30 hours weekly Monday-Friday on a hybrid schedule during normal business hours and is eligible for full medical and pension benefits.
Position Requirements for the Program Lead , Hiring Range $70,920.80-$90,424.72
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management, psychology, sociology or related field and a minimum of 6 years professional experience working with equity and inclusion matters or an equivalent combination of professional work experience, training, and education. Master's degree and professional certifications preferred.
