RDF&P is a fast-paced, team environment company looking for confident candidates to join our team. We are a custom metal fabrication shop that works on anything from structural pedestals for the semiconductor industry to handrails for local schools and colleges. We have two Oregon locations; The Forest Grove shop where this job is located, focuses on raised floors/pedestals and miscellaneous steel fabrication. The Joseph plant focuses on all our miscellaneous projects. A flexible schedule is a must. Crews will be working various hours depending on workload with possible mandatory overtime when required. OSHA-compliant work boots (paid for by the employee) are required. Pre-employment drug screening applies.


A generous benefits package is available after a 90-day probationary period. These include vision, health, and dental with 90% paid by the employer. A $25,000 life insurance policy for employees only is also paid by the employer. Aflac is offered and available for employees, and we have a 401k Retirement program available with the employer matching up to 4%.



Qualifications:

  • Certification or licensing is not required but encouraged
  • Previous work experience as an abrasive blaster a plus
  • Attention to detail a must
  • Physical stamina and strength to handle a heavy pressurized hose required
  • Prior work experience in heavy metals is an advantage
  • Obtain mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity a benefit

Duties Include:

  • Start up and stop equipment
  • Hold the pressurized hose over the shoulder and manipulate the direction of the blast
  • Clean and treat parts in preparation for powder coating.
  • Assist with the production line in the facility
  • Able to use hand tools and other production equipment as needed
  • Operate forklift
  • Sweep and maintain the blast room area
  • Ensure conformance to specifications
  • Take instructions from supervisors
  • Use proper lifting techniques and always follow safe work procedures

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.


Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the day a MUST
  • Able to use hand tools and other production equipment as needed
  • Occasional lifting and/or pushing of carts with product to other workstations for shipping.
  • Ability to bend over, crawl underneath, crouch beside or climb over work projects
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time during the day

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This position is for a full-time Swing shift, Monday through Friday. While performing the duties of the job, the

employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The pay range for this role is:
16 - 18 USD per hour(Main - Forest Grove)
