Secretary Department, Cardiac Recovery Room at RWJBarnabas Health – NEWARK, New Jersey

Job Overview:

In busy outpatient department, coordinate availability of patient, provider and finance to schedule tests and procedures.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma
• 3 to 5 years office experience required, good organizational and communication skills required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Computer skills required

Preferred:

• One year (1) secretarial experience

Scheduling Requirements:

• Shift- 8:00am-4:00pm
• Monday- Friday
• Full Time

Essential Functions:

• Schedule patients for test and procedures as requested by providers
• Coordinate with providers and clinical staff for appropriate dates & times
• Coordinate availability of patient
• Ensure adequate time is considered due to insurance requirements
• Provide patient with details for upcoming appointments
• All other duties as assigned
