About This Position

ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER Occupational Medicine

The AultWorks Clinic Occupational Medicine Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for providing clinical occupational medicine services and injury care at AultWorks clinics (multiple locations) or on site a company clinics. The Clinic Occupational Medicine Provider will promote quality and cost effective medical care. Advanced Practice Provider will work under the direction of the supervising occupational medicine physician using critical judgment in conducting health assessments, pre-placement examination, making different diagnoses, management of acute and chronic illnesses and injuries and recommending pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments within scope of practice.

Goals and Responsibilities:

· Provides clinical occupational medicine services and injury care for employers and their employees

· Abides and complies with medical mandates set forth by the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation

· Provides medical direction to clinical staff

· Coordinates standardization of medical services and documentation for clients

· Provides prompt medical care to AultWorks clients

· Provides medical services at all the AultWorks clinics and on site locations

· Willing to go on company tours

· Provide open communication with employers

· Promotes transitional work and return to work initiatives in accordance to The Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation initiatives

· Will follow AultWorks practice care guidelines

· Will use appropriate utilization of referrals (physical therapy, diagnostic testing, medical specialist referrals

Qualifications:

· Licensed to practice as a either an Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Ohio

· Valid Ohio State Drivers License

· Ability to make independent care management judgments, solve problems and prioritize workload

· Strong clinical skills treat a wide array of illnesses and injuries occurring in the workplace or impacting job performance

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Occupational , Orthopedic, Emergency Medicine or Family Practice/Internal Medicine experience preferred

Other Requirements/Information

· Clinic hours of operation, primarily Monday-Friday 8am-5p, seasonal later hours – as assigned. No holidays and/or weekends

· Must be willing to travel to multiple sites as needed
