Position Overview: We are seeking a strategic and people-focused Director of Human Resources to support the continued growth and evolution of our organization. As the Director of Human Resources, you will lead a dedicated HR team and oversee daily operations including talent engagement, onboarding, performance management, compliance, and employee relations. You will also take the lead in developing and implementing impactful training and development programs that build capabilities, support career growth, and empower leaders across the organization.
We're looking for someone who brings a strong blend of strategic vision and hands-on execution, and who is passionate about building strong partnerships, promoting continuous improvement, and shaping an exceptional employee experience.
Key Activities:
  • Champion and model a forward-thinking, values-driven culture that reflects the spirit of innovation and ownership at Motz.
  • Shape and evolve HR strategies, policies, and processes that fuel innovation, align with business goals, and prioritize people.
  • Manage benefits administration with a focus on clarity, care, and continuous improvement to support a thriving employee-owner experience.
  • Lead the creation of dynamic training programs that build future-ready skills, spark curiosity, and empower personal growth.
  • Introduce and implement fresh, innovative approaches to employee development that support agility and long-term success.
  • Deliver a welcoming onboarding experience that inspires connection, confidence, and commitment from day one.
  • Guide the Intentional Purpose Statement (IPS) process to ensure clarity of role, innovative thinking, and ownership of impact.
  • Keep job descriptions and competency frameworks up to date, ensuring they reflect evolving roles and support continuous learning.
  • Drive clarity and accountability by helping teams define success in ways that encourage experimentation and progress.
  • Partner with managers to co-create development plans, coach through change, and champion an innovative, people-first mindset.
  • Oversee inclusive, values-driven talent engagement, recruitment, and retention strategies to attract and retain innovative, collaborative, and future-focused talent.
  • Facilitate new hire experiences and career-pathing conversations that reflect the opportunities in a growing, innovative company.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with integrity—streamlining processes and adopting tools that enhance efficiency.
  • Stay ahead of employment laws and best practices, ensuring our people programs remain adaptive, compliant, and future-focused.
Skills Desired:
  • Ability to align HR strategies with business goals and drive initiatives that support organizational growth and culture.
  • Proven experience overseeing recruitment efforts and building effective training and development programs to grow and retain talent.
  • Skilled at fostering a positive employee experience through engagement initiatives, feedback loops, and culture-building strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of daily HR functions including compliance, benefits, performance management, and policy development.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to coach leaders, build strong relationships, and serve as a trusted advisor across the organization.
Professional Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's or HR certification preferred)
  • 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on performance management, training, and employee development
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence across all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Experience with HRIS and performance management systems, experience with ADP is a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required
