What You’ll Do

Embross is seeking multiple driven and experienced Senior Product Design / Mechatronics Engineer to develop products and deliver on client engagements. You will work directly with the Engineering Manager and Engineering Product Managers and collaborate with them in planning project deliveries and product features. You will be responsible for leading the execution of agreed upon features and improvements per product roadmap and delivery goals.

In this role, you will (but not limited to):

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, oversee, and execute the design of new products and continual improvement and innovation of existing products
  • Review and evaluate designs, recommending modifications to enhance functionality and address technical challenges
  • Develop test specifications, procedures, and objectives, and oversee or conduct operational tests to gather data for development, standardization, and quality control
  • Coordinate critical technical issue investigation and resolution activities
  • Participate in regulatory testing and certification for safety and emissions compliance
  • Contribute to development and rollout of new processes and procedures to streamline operations
  • Preparing technical documentation such as product documentation, training materials, RFP responses, customer presentations, and development process templates
  • Provide review, feedback and mentorship for junior engineers
  • BOM and change control management

Who You are


  • Min. 7+ years of product development experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, mechatronics, or electrical engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end hardware product lifecycle management. This extends to deploying products and delivering hands-on train-the-trainer sessions at client sites
  • Applied experience in electrical and mechanical design
  • Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical diagrams, drawings, and schematics
  • Working knowledge of safety and emissions regulations; experience with IEC 62368-1 a plus
  • Understanding of hardware/software interface issues and understanding of hardware system designs
  • Excellent project delivery management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with ability to articulate complex concepts to a multitude of audiences and effectively engage stakeholders at various levels
  • Organized and efficient, self-motivated. Thrives in an environment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to independently conduct stakeholder workshops, clearly define written requirements, assess feasibility, and summarize findings for management

  • Ability to travel internationally when necessary (10-20%)
