About This Position

Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Mechanic with hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing diesel engines, bore machines, and hydro vac trucks.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of heavy equipment and vehicles used in utility, construction, or excavation operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and components in trucks, heavy equipment, and specialized machinery.
- Inspect, service, and repair bore machines and hydro vac units to ensure safe and optimal performance.
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on all equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with operators and field staff to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Order and replace parts as necessary.
- Operate tools and diagnostic equipment with care and efficiency.
- 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy-duty equipment technician.
- Hands-on experience with bore machines and hydro vac trucks is required.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and pneumatics.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions.
- Vocational or technical training in diesel mechanics or a related field.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- ASE certification(s) or equivalent credentials.
