Commercial Litigation Associate (Defense) at Top Tier Reps LLC – District of Columbia, Washington

Our client, a prestigious Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a mid-level Litigation Associate with 4 to 6 years of experience to join its Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice in Washington, D.C.

The associate will work on complex insurance coverage litigation, including cutting-edge disputes involving environmental and product liability claims.

Salary range: $270,000 to $315,000 a year

• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and coverage assessments

• Manage litigation through all phases—from inception through trial and appeals

• Conduct legal research and prepare complex case evaluations

• Oversee written discovery, take and defend depositions

• Collaborate with clients, witnesses, and experts

• Analyze insurance coverage issues and draft opinion letters

• 4 to 6 years of commercial litigation experience (insurance coverage preferred)

• Demonstrated interest in insurance, environmental, or product liability law

• Excellent legal writing, analysis, and oral advocacy skills

• Strong litigation management and client communication skills

• Judicial clerkship experience is a plus

• Licensed in Washington, D.C. (or eligible to waive in)

• J.D. from a top-tier law school (class years 2019–2021 only)

• Experience at an Am Law 100/200 firm or similar

• Strong academic record and stable professional background
