About This Position

Position Description:

Are you skilled in specimen collection and passionate about quality care? Join our team as a Phlebotomist, where youll perform venipuncture, capillary puncture, and bedside testing with precision and compassion. In this role, youll support both individuals served and providers by ensuring accurate specimen collection, timely results, and adherence to the highest safety and compliance standards.

What Youll Do

  • Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture for specimen collection on individuals of all ages
  • Conduct bedside test analysis and collect non-blood specimens as directed
  • Carry out waived and moderate-complexity testing (bedside analysis, bleeding times)
  • Document quality control, maintain equipment, and perform preventive maintenance
  • Ensure proficiency testing samples are processed consistently with specimens from individuals served
  • Stay current on policy, procedure, and compliance requirements
  • Follow FDA, OSHA, and accrediting body safety standards
  • Document procedures, refusals, and relevant incidents in medical records
  • Provide clear instructions on specimen collection and distribute supplies
  • Complete all lab draws and specimen collections in a timely manner

What Were Looking For

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required).
    • Successful completion of a phlebotomy course (required)
  • Experience: Prior experience in healthcare or a mental health treatment facility (preferred)
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • Current unrestricted state certification/registration (as required)
